Bhaja Muger Daal is a Bong version of Vegan Lentil Soup prepared with neither Onion nor Garlic. Try this simple and delicious dal at home and post your comments below. <br /> <br />INGREDIENTS <br />1 cup moong dal <br />1 tsp cumin seeds <br />1 tsp ginger paste <br />2 tbsp chopped fresh coconut <br />½ tsp turmeric powder <br />½ tsp chilli powder <br />2 tbsp ghee <br />½ tsp cumin seed powder <br />3-4 green chillies <br />¼ cup fresh green peas <br />3 tbsp mustard oil <br />Sugar to taste <br />Salt to taste <br /> <br />METHOD: <br />- Wash the dal and let it dry <br />- Dry roast the dal in a pan till golden brown <br />- Add 2 cups of water and cook till done <br />- Heat mustard oil add the cumin seeds, ginger paste, chilli and turmeric powder <br />- Add the dal and cook and green peas and the chillies. Cover and cook <br />- Fry the coconut and add to the dal and serve
